I fell in love with Rachel and Matthew a little bit when I first met them. We met in a lovely little Hare and Hounds pub in Marple, Greater Manchester. They had amazing plans for their Wedding day and were both mega excited and bursting with ideas on how they were going to make their wedding extra special. Ideas for the decorations, catering, entertainment, I knew this was going to be a really special wedding. But the most special thing was Rachel and Matthew and how bursting with love they were for each other. On the morning of the wedding I met Rachel and her bridesmaids bright and early at the hair salon where they were all getting ready, there was a lot of excitement from the adults and some very cute grumpy kids hilariously stomping around, one in particular had me in stitches for most of the day! (See if you can spot her!) From the salon we travelled to The Pack Horse Pub where the bridal party got some breakfast down them and we played some hide and seek tricks on Rachel’s Mum. ;) Inside the church was very emotional, Matthew had been really ill a few Months before the wedding and everyone was aware of how lucky we all were to still have him with us and to all be stood there celebrating these two joining their lives together. I think most people cried. I know I did. The Vicar kindly wiped some tears from Rachel’s face for her, it was a truly beautiful moving ceremony for a lot of reasons. The kids kept it light hearted for us with some playing, arguing and dancing which was absolutely hilarious and well timed at moments! From the Church we headed to Thornsett Fields Farm for the cracking party that was in store for us. Just after we arrived the heavens opened, with thunder and lightning and huge massive raindrops bashing down, it was even loud enough to interrupt the speeches at one point. Luckily inside the barn it was as bright as a summers day with Rachel and Matthews amazing efforts of making the barn the most colourful spectacular wedding reception you could feast your eyes on. Guests feasted on pork pies, slabs of cheese, pints of organic cider and other delights while the kids had more popcorn to play with than you could shake a stick at. The chicken’s even popped in for a bit of the party! It was an absolute honor to document your day Rachel and Matthew, thank you so much for having me. xxx
